A new company is using golf cars to get people around Raleigh, North Carolina.
Lhavi operates golf cars in the city’s downtown, giving people rides for free. (The company sells advertising on its cars.) Riders must now call for rides, but the company is working on an app. “People who ride our vehicles are in love with it, they say it is better than Uber and better than Lyft and even better that it’s free,” Lhavi owner Nathaniel Torres told local news station WTVD. Riders are asked to tip their drivers.
