In a startling turn of events during the “Boo on Broadway” Halloween festivity, an electric golf car unexpectedly reverses, causing injuries to multiple children.

The Kissimmee Police Department has initiated an investigation into an accident that occurred during a Halloween event on Friday night, leaving several children injured.

According to James Napier from the City of Kissimmee, Florida, the incident unfolded when an electric golf car, which had been decorated for children to take photos with at the “Boo on Broadway” event in downtown Kissimmee, slipped into reverse, striking six children before it could be brought to a halt.

Napier noted that at the time of the accident, a child was aboard the golf car. While one child was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital as a precautionary measure, all the children involved are expected to recover fully.

Napier emphasized that the safety perimeter around the event remained intact and that the incident was isolated in nature.

The investigation into the accident is being conducted by the Kissimmee police traffic units.
