A West Virginia boy has a cool new ride.
Aiden Bunner has a sweet new ride. The 12-year-old now drives around Nutter Fort, W. Va. in a custom Transformers-themed golf car courtesy of the Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Parents Bridget and Bill Bunner told the Exponent Telegram newspaper that the car’s a real thrill for their son.
“He’s always loved cars you can drive, even the battery-powered cars when he was little,” Bridget Bunner told the newspaper. “As he’s getting older, he’d still want us to buy him those, but he won’t fit in them,” Bridget said. “He was so excited. He loves it.”
According to the newspaper, Aiden suffers from epilepsy and XYY Syndrome, a rare chromosomal disorder.
Golf Carts Unlimited of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania built the car, which features a red flames paint job and a custom license plate that reads “PRIME.”
“He loves it. He drives about four or five times a day,” Bill Bunner told the newspaper. “Every couple hours, he’ll bug Bridget or me about going for a ride. We’ll go all over the place, and two hours later, he’s ready to go again.”
His parents don’t let him drive it alone, and he’s happy to share with his sister, Addison.
“Addison is an awesome sister – she is the most compassionate, caring person you ever could see,” Bridget told the newspaper. “She looks after him all the time and worries about him. He lets her drive it too.”
