A nonprofit needs golf cars to keep a state park clean.
Silver Springs State Park needs golf cars, according to the nonprofit tasked with helping maintain and improve it.
Friends of Silver Springs State Park said in a social media post reported by the Ocala News that the Florida park needs the cars because its current fleet are coming to the end of their useful lives. Volunteers use the cars to pick up trash, clean out fire pits and blow leaves, among other tasks.
In addition to money, the park group would take cars themselves. They are asking for cars that are less than 5 years old, battery powered with newer batteries, and in full working order.
