Golf cars are go in one Texas town.
An East Texas municipality made it easier for people to use golf cars on city streets. According to KLTV, the Rusk City Council passed an ordinance that will allow golf cars on streets where the speed limit is 35m.p.h. or less.
“The idea behind the ordinance is to make sure it is safe. So, you do still have to be a licensed drive,” Amanda Hill, Rusk’s city manager, told KLTV. “You have to be over 16; the vehicles have to be insured and have to have proper lighting, It has to have to be registered with the city. Four-wheelers are still not allowed. It’s just golf carts and side by sides.”
