Essential guidelines for golf car use at the Farm Progress Show.
Golf cars have become a popular mode of transportation at the Farm Progress Show, scheduled for August 27–29 in Boone, Iowa. To ensure the safety of all attendees, drivers must adhere to several important rules, according to the Farm Progress Show website.
Only golf cars and motorized scooters are permitted on the exhibit field at the 2024 Farm Progress Show. Other vehicles such as lawn mowers, utility vehicles, ATVs, or similar machines are not allowed.
Here are some key guidelines:
• Renting: Visitors can rent a golf car from the FPS-approved vendor, M&M Golf Cars.
• Bringing Your Own: Visitors can bring personal golf cars but must purchase a permit from the golf car vendor located just west of the southwest entrance.
• Speed Limit: Maintain a golf car speed below 5 mph.
• Staying on Streets: Golf cars must remain on the streets and not enter exhibit spaces, which could obstruct access. Many exhibitors now provide golf car parking. Violating this rule may result in the loss of your permit and removal of your golf car.
• Securing Keys: Operators must remove the key from the vehicle when it is unattended.
• Rider Limit: The number of passengers on a golf car should not exceed the number of seats available.
• No Attachments: Pull-behind attachments are not allowed.
• Minimum Age: Golf car operators must be at least 25 years old.
• Safety First: Drivers must operate the vehicle in a safe and prudent manner.
• Management’s Discretion: Farm Progress Show management reserves the right to make final decisions on any questions related to these rules and regulations.
By following these guidelines, you can help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees at the Farm Progress Show.
