A South Carolina teen has a new ride thanks to some charitable friends.
According to Greenville/Spartanburg news site WSPA.com, The Make-A-Wish Foundation recently granted 16-year-old Malachi Osment, a resident of Gaffney, the wish of having a golf car to get around in.
Osment, who is on the autism spectrum and non-verbal, got a brand-new orange car. “Just to know that he can have something like this that we wouldn’t be able to afford any other way,” Carmen Osment, Malachi’s mom, told WSPA. “All of us are going to enjoy it, but especially him.”
Carmen said Malachi loves being outside and feeling the wind in his hair. The car comes equipped with a harness to keep him secure.
