Dehli’s famous market might get some vehicles.
Vintage golf cars were being considered as a connectivity solution at a major market in Dehli.
According to Indian newspaper The Hindu, the Dehli Transport Department was considering the vehicles for a stretch of just under a mile in a redeveloped Chandni Chowk, a famous and sprawling marketplace area that first opened in the 17th century. Cycle rickshaws were also being considered for the pedestrianized stretch. The stretch is largely a vehicle free-zone, with no motorized vehicles allowed between 9am and 9pm. However the exception was being considered largely for market users who are older or who have limited mobility.
