Given the chance to own Elvis Presley’s old golf car, no auction bidders said “Thank you very much.”
According to powernationtv.com, Graceland Auctions estimated the Harley-Davidson golf car would sell for between $60,000 and $70,000. However when it went up for auction in January, nobody even placed the minimum bid of $20,000.
Graceland Auctions explained that Presley bought the three-wheeled car in Memphis shortly after he married Priscilla Beaulieu in Las Vegas. The famed motorcycle company made three-wheeled golf cars from the early 1960s. It later made four-wheeled ones as well before getting out of the golf car business in the early 1980s.
