A Florida police department has a new ride.
A new golf car is on patrol in a town in central Florida’s sprawling golf car community, The Villages.
The village of Wildwood’s police department has a new car that, according to the department, will be used solely for community outreach, according to the Villages News.
“We’ve really had a good reaction to the new golf cart,” Officer David Perry told the newspaper.
He said the car would not be used for traditional police purposes such as patrolling or catching speeders.
