A California golf car company lives on thanks to a last-minute sale to another California-based company.
According to the Business Journal, Sacramento-based Nick’s Custom Golf Cars and Utility Vehicles purchased Fresno’s Central Valley Golf & Utility, which had closed earlier in the year when owner Lew Solomon retired.
Solomon and Nick’s Custom Golf Cars owner Scott Murphy knew each other as both were Club Car dealers. Murphy told the Business Journal that he had been looking for some time to get into California’s Central Valley, a large agricultural area where various golf car products are in demand from farmers and ranchers.
