This past May, Epilepsy Florida hosted its inaugural Construction & Real Estate Development Golf Tournament to support those impacted by epilepsy and seizures in the local community. The sold-out tournament, held at the Seagate Country Club, attracted 145 golfers and raised more than $98,000. The event was chaired by Epilepsy Florida board member Adam Adache and his wife, Monica Adache.
“It was an honor to have some of the largest and most distinguished companies in the industry here to support us,” said Adam Adache. “The turnout definitely exceeded my expectations, and the day was an absolute blast.”
In addition to the 18-holes of scramble golf tournament play, participants enjoyed a variety of competitions, such as Hire-a-Pro and Closest to the Pin. There were also a number of special attractions at the event, like hand-rolled cigars and a 50/50 raffle drawing. The day concluded with a formal dinner and silent auction. Organizers of the event extended a special thank you to Maria Marino, Palm Beach County Commissioner, who was in attendance to support the cause.
Epilepsy Florida is the principal agency for epilepsy programs and services sponsored by the State of Florida. It services an estimated 426,000 Floridians who live with the condition. The date for Epilepsy Florida’s 2nd Annual Construction & Real Estate Development Golf Tournament has been tentatively set for May 2022.
