A donation will go towards a program that grows the girls’ game across the country.
Yamaha Golf-Car Company, along with the Davis Love Foundation, recently presented the LPGA USGA Girls Golf program with a $10,000 donation to support their efforts as they grow the sport among young women across the country.
Girls Golf is the only national junior golf program that specializes in providing girl-friendly environments for juniors to learn all about golf and its industry. Founded in 1989 by a woman who dreamed of sharing her love for the game of golf with her two daughters, Girls Golf has grown into a community of more than 90,000 girls across the globe who are learning and loving the game. Run in partnership between the LPGA Foundation and the USGA (United States Golf Association), Girls Golf empowers young women with confidence and teaches them valuable life skills. The program currently has sites in more than 500 communities across the country.
YGC’s partnership with the Davis Love Foundation provides the opportunity to make a donation to one of YGC’s favorite organizations.
“I’ve always been a huge supporter of growing the game golf among women and we admire how the LPGA Foundation supports the goals of women and young girls in the industry,” said Kevin Norcross, Division Manager – Fleet Sales & Marketing. “We are grateful that YGC’s relationship with Davis Love III and his foundation gives us the chance to support such a great cause.”
